LAMB #1007 - NUTS4R2

URL: http://www.nuts4r2.blogspot.com/
Site Name: NUTS4R2
Categories: Reviews, Editorials
Rating: PG-13

What is the main focus of your site?
That would be movie reviews taking in all countries and periods from the days of the silents to the latest trash-epic blockbusters. Will also include the occasional reviews of tilms by directors who are unlikely to get the opportunity to see their work released theatrically or on a home video format.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
To quote from my first ever blog post... “So far so good but... the next big question for me... and a very important one actually... would be why would I want to inflict that on any potential readers? Well... over the last couple of decades I’ve noticed the effect on some friends and acquaintances whereby they’ve been generally interested and inspired to explore things themselves based on the range of different kinds of things I like to look at/listen to and read myself. It sometimes has a positive effect on people so that, therefore, can’t be a bad thing. Exposing myself ;-) to people can sometimes turn them on to things they've been missing out on. I don’t know, for example, what I’m going to be wanting to watch from one week to the next... Kurosawa (my favourite director), Tarkovsky (my second favourite director), Noir, Giallo, Nikkatsu exploitation movies, Toho monster movies, Universa! l horror, Mexican wrestlers, French lesbian vampires, zombies, Bergman, Hartley, Jay and Silent Bob, blind Japanese swordsmen, plagiaristic Turkish superheroes, kitchen sink, 50s B movies, Kieslowski, Suzuki, blind Spanish zombie Knights Templars, Spanish werewolves, Peplum, Almodovor, Eisenstein, anything with Caroline Munro in it... the list goes on. Some people are genuinely interested in what I’m watching to see if they will get anything out of it so... why not give it a shot I thought? I don’t expect to get much of a following (or possibly any following to be honest) but I might as well give it a go.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I’m quite happy to be interactive I think... if I knew what you’re getting at.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
The site has been active for... ooh... coming up for 15 months now. I try to update at least three times a week (sometimes even more when I do it off the meter... oh no, wait, that turned into Taxi Driver). It ranges from between 11 and 25 updates per month. I reckon it averages up about 20 new articles a month though.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Blade Runner
The Third Man
Yojimbo

How did you hear about the LAMB?
FilmForager has tweeted about it a few times on Twitter and we read each others blogs so I got interested.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
I hope you like my reviews and articles... or at least have some kind of reaction to them. :-)
