What is the main focus of your site?
Talk about movies and share movie going experiances

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I am a 40 year old who is looking at trying to make it into the reviewer biz; it’s what I want to be when I grow up. I have loved movies and though gee.. what is it I like to do, its talk about movies.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I so desperately want to get a conversation going but I can’t seem to get people to talk. I ask for feedback and ask questions aaaannnnnddd ..nothing.. (tap)(tap).. is this thing on?

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
December 2010 I post once a week a review and I have some other blogs that I post to more inferquently on.

I googled Movie Blog Blogger, and up you popped.

Q: What do you love most about movies?
A: I love how a really good one will take me away from life for a moment and show me a glimpse into different world’s ideas and thought. I love how bad one give me something to work on and like an arm chair quarter back I make changes that I think would have made the movie better.

Q: What do you love about Blogging?
A: I have had a problem with writing when I was young. I never got the meaning of how these written communications rules applied to me. I am now facing this skill head on and working on it as I go. My friends tell me I have a great voice and my ideas need to be shared, so I am doing that in a written format because its where I need to grow as a person.

Latest Theatrical Reviews and general film reviews. I have a tendency to stick to Asian cinema, but whatever I watch I review

I'm currently a history student, yet have an interest in entering the world of 'journalism'. Therefore I started this blog in order to begin my 'adventure'. With my interest in film and a critical eye, I decided to create this blog. I hope to gain a few contacts and get some experience.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I prefer an interactive community. I think its important to listen from viewers rather than simply stating your point. I like a debate, thus I like community that speaks.

I post once or twice a week. And I started my blog in February 2011.

It looks like those without Netflix think the rest of us are a bunch of crybabies about the recent price changes. Most of us with Netflix are okay with the price changes and plan on keeping both the dvd and streaming options, while some will choose to drop one or the other. Almost nobody is going to give it the boot altogether.

What is the main focus of your site?
The main focus of my website is to express my opinion of film to fellow lovers of cinema.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Initially my blog began as an online portfolio but I've quickly become addicted to the site. Whilst still available to be used as a portfolio, I see it as my baby, my place of.. well.. Zen. It's somewhere I can express my thoughts and feelings about new and old releases, whether it sees me earn a full time position within media or not I'm enjoying what I'm doing.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
At present I've not had much interaction but I'd love to get exposure so that I can discuss releases with others. I don't see that I'm in a position to necessarily 'teach' anyone anything but if I can open someone's eyes to something new that would be great.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
The site has been activated since 27th May. In the month of June I made 14 posts and I hope to make a similar amount if not more each month.

Tough call, three among my favourites that I can watch regularly for various reasons are Hercules, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Never Back Down.

Yes I really do. I'm very passionate about the site and each day I'm learning and always thinking of new content, trying to gain contacts, gain exposure and develop. I'd be incredibly grateful for your help and I feel so strongly about what can become of the site.

So many films, so little time. There was some worry early on that there would be overlap with a lot of our individual top fives, but that proved not to really be the case, as there's a wide array of interesting flicks coming down the pike in the next few months. So many films that (spoiler alert!) not a single person chose either of Spielberg's flicks or Scorsese's kids' movie. What is the main focus of your site?
I blog about things that I consider to be awesome or fascinating. I mainly focus on film and fashion.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
My main goal is to let my readers know about things that are amazing.

I have been steadily increasing my posts per month and growing my blog's traffic. I currently receive about 30,000 pageviews per month and am hoping to grow that to 100,000 in the future.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I am not as good with people as a I would like to be so it may seem that I have more of a teacher vibe but I actually would like it to have more of a community vibe in the future.

1 year, 9 months. I aim for about 3 posts per week but it's sometimes more or less frequent.

March to Box Office Madness 2011 Final Results - UPDATE!

I don't know if my scoring system for this tournament is ingenious or idiotic, but suffice it to say that it's all in Excel and is dependent on formulas. Makes it great and easy in that I don't have to manually add anything...but there's one major flaw in the setup: it's dependent on everyone copying & pasting and/or using the exact lettering that I have for the film titles. I try to go in at the beginning of the season and clean 'em up, but (of course), I miss some. And in this case, a big one!



Nicholas R. also scored 72 points, to tie Nick J. On top of that, they tied with the tie-breaker, too, so we truly have co-champions. Congrats to all people named Nick or Nicholas in the tournament!
