Event #19 starring
David Cronenberg
August 25, 2011
Movie director David Cronenberg is not afraid of genre hopping between the different styles of storytelling. In the early part of his career he will be remembered as the genius behind the popular horror films as Rage, Scanners, and The Fly, but he did not stay within the world of horror filmmaking for very long. As his career matured he moved into the world of real world stories that peaked into the dark corners of human psychology with films such as Crash (1996), Eastern Promises, and A History of Violence. Within the nineteenth installment of The LAMBs in the Director’s Chair series there are several reviews spanning across all the different genre bending films that Cronenberg has directed. Alongside the film reviews are a couple of editorials about his movie making career.
