LAMB #1053 - Never Too Early Movie Predictions

URL: http://nevertooearlymoviepredictions.blogspot.com/
Site Name: Never Too Early Movie Predictions
Categories: Lists, (Other) Oscars, Awards
Rating: G

What is the main focus of your site?
Oscar Predictions! Not just in the major categories, but also the shorts, documentary and technical categories. I start predicting as soon as I can find titles, which is currently through 2017.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
A lot of other sites lament that it’s “far too early” to make predictions, but then proceed to make them anyway. I embrace it as a game that is “never too early” to start. It helps me learn about interesting films that are coming out, and maybe I’ll even get lucky and guess a nominee or two!

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Interactive. I’m new to the predictions game, and have found that comments and tips from readers are one of the best ways to learn about new films and hone my predicting skills.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I began the site in March 2011 and try to update it several times a week. I currently update it as I get new information, but eventually I’d like to set up a schedule where I could cycle through all the categories and years on a rotating basis.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Tambien La Lluvia, Fruit Fly, Memento

How did you hear about the LAMB?
I first noticed a banner at http://julianstark-moviesandotherthings.blogspot.com/, and then found out that several of my favorite reads are already here, such as: http://moviedearest.blogspot.com/, http://www.filmmisery.com/, http://awardcontenders.com/, http://www.awkwardiswhatweaimfor.com/, http://samwatchesmovies.blogspot.com/, http://a113animation.blogspot.com/, http://notesfromaviewer.blogspot.com/ and http://john-likes-movies.blogspot.com/.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
I was a bit nervous about applying because my site design is still pretty basic and the site’s premise doesn’t really fit into any of the “chops” categories. But it brings me joy (which is always important), and if it was exactly like what was already out there I probably would have just read other blogs and not created my own. The internet is a big place, so I figure that if I enjoy it, maybe someone else will also.
