Previously I’ve posted an article about one upcoming sci-fi film which title is “District 9”. It was based on an acclaimed short film, which being expanded by its filmmaker into a full length feature project, and being backed up by a well known figure in movie industry. So, here I’ve found another similar case in a film shortly titled “9”, it is an animated action/fantasy film directed by Shane Acker and produced by filmmakers Tim Burton (The Corpse Bride, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory) and Timur Bekmambetov, director of “Wanted.” It is also based on Acker's Academy Award-nominated short film of the same name.
