Fast & Furious: Not Fast Enough To Revive The Franchise

Since it made the first appearance in 2001, who would have thought that "The Fast and the Furious" would spawn a trilogy and still be running strong with an adequate fourth installment that reunites Vin Diesel and Paul Walker on the streets of LA and in the arid badlands dividing the U.S. and Mexico? Gears essentially didn't look promising when Vin Diesel opted out of leading the second film due to newfound reputation and an overblown ego, but following a short-lived appearance in the third feature "Tokyo Drift", he's back to his old tricks as bad boy Dominic "Dom" Torretto. Now in which can likely call as the first true sequel of the bunch, story takes place slightly before the third part events.
