Why did I have to read about Morgan Freeman allegedly Wood-Allen-ing his step-granddaughter?! If I dip my head in a pot of boiling bleach will it burn away that image along with 99% of the skin on my face? I might be willing to try it.

I hope the National Enquirer was just telling jokes when they wrote about 72-year-old Morgan Freeman's 10-year-long affair with his 27-year-old step-granddaughter E'Dena Hines. Please let them issue a statement that they thought April Fool's Day got moved to mid-June for some reason.

A source tells the Enquirer that E'Dena is the granddaughter of Morgan's first wife Jeanette. Morgan and his second wife Myrna raised E'Dena ever since she was a little girl. The affair reportedly started when E'Dena was a teenager. The source went on to say, "Myrna said E'dena told her that when she was a teenager, she and Morgan went to dinner at a friend's house one evening. Both had been drinking, and when they returned home, Morgan attempted to have sex with her. They stopped just short of having intercourse. E'Dena explained to Myrna that she stopped Morgan from going any further."

Myrna told Morgan to step off E'Dena and he promised he would. Without Myrna knowing, Morgan's relationship with E'Dena continued for years.

The source wants all to know that it's technically not incest since they aren't blood relatives,
"but Morgan is trying desperately to keep his divorce out of open court so all the shameful facts won't become public."

I know most of you stopped at "National Enquirer," but they sound serious about this one. Maybe we should all just pretend this is a work of creepy fan fiction and then slowly back away until we get further evidence? Okay, I won't dip my head in bleach just yet, but in the meantime.....

Dang, as soon as a Negress finally says she's gonna post regularly again, Blogger's "robots" mistakenly mark my site as a spam site (?!) and I'm locked out of my own sh*t for days! Thin ice, Blogger, thin ice! Don't ever wonder why people are flocking to Wordpress, OK?

Anyhoo--my ex-husband Morgan Freeman was involved in a serious car accident with "an unidentified woman". I'll leave that part alone and wish him a speedy and complete recovery. He is definitely a Black Cinema treasure, and I only want the best for him. Be blessed Morgan!


Update: Why on God's green earth would Morgan be driving a 1997 Nissan Maxima? This "unidentified woman" thing is starting to make more sense. Ingognito anyone?

Hello There....

I know my posting is beyond tired lately, but I'm getting there. It isn't really my new job that is responsible for the spotty posting (thankfully I'm working with a bunch of hilarious dudes), but strictly based on the fact that Madame Invisible is feeling a tad lazy these days. Blame it on the wonderful weather and the fact that I am close to the beach.

There are a lot of upcoming projects that I want to talk about tho, unfortunately I can't get to them until tonight. Moving kinda slow this morning--went to see "The Happening" last night, which, as you've probably heard by now, is not happening at all (seriously, it blows hard). Until tonight, here is a clip of Morgan Freeman with a gold toof and nappy perm, playing a pimp in "Street Smart", a film I have talked about a couple times on this blog. I love this film, and I love him in it. Christopher Reeve is dead weight, and Anna Marie Horsford plays his bottom bitch (as they say). Check it; this ain't no Hollywood pimpin'.

Today In B'Days

Morgan Freeman, my geriatric ex-husband (alas, he finally got too "mature" for me) is 71.

I wish I can show you guys a clip from "Street Smart", which is by far my favorite Freeman role, where he played a pimp (he was nominated for an Oscar for it, but didn't win), but there were none to be found. So here he is in a movie that seems to be a staple on many a man's favorite movie list; "The Shawshank Redemption". It is a perfect snapshot of how absolutely amazing he can be as an actor.

Posting is going to be spotty for the rest of the month; I've been splitting time between here (San Francisco) and Los Angeles, and am making a permanent move to LA this month. There will be a lot of real life drudgery which will impede a bit on blogging.

Anyhoo....watched the first 25 minutes of "First Sunday", and struggled to even do that, as I wanted to have an informed opinion by watching the whole thing. I didn't make it tho, and HATED. EVERY. SINGLE. SOLITARY. SECOND. of this movie. They should make watching this a requirement in Hell for murderers, rapers, and molesters. It is that painful to watch.

I had to stop watching, cause I was really starting to hate Ice Cube, too, for continuing to make some of the most horrible s--t I've ever seen. I realize that Sergio is a classy guy, and was being kind in his review. I, however, feel absolutely no need to do so. For a review more aligned with how I feel about this dreck, click here. Oh, and Cube...the new beard? Hate that too!

"First Sunday" did finish in second place tho, with $19 mil, right after the "Bucket List", which to my surprise came in at #1. My geriatric 4th husband, Morgan Freeman, has alas become even too geriatric for me, and is now an ex-husband. But I am glad he is still doing well and still bankable. A blog that I read called "News As Gossip" had a funny blurb about the movie:

Hey elderly people! If you're in the mood to smile weakly, then walk - don't run - to see "The Bucket List!" Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman play two guys who never saw the NBC show "Thirty Good Years" where two older men decide to do everything they were never able to do in life. The film is inspirational - Like me, you'll be inspired to die before the ending.

FYI, "The bucket list" refers to a list of things to do before you die, and not a list of actual buckets, which would have been more exciting.

Oh, and if it makes things even more enticing - in the movie, both of these guys have terminal cancer.

'I've just come from a screening of "How She Move" which Paramount Vantage is releasing on Jan. 25. Believe me, just when you think there's no more hope for black films this gem comes along to put your faith back in it. (No surprise it's Canadian movie not American).

Sure you've seen the story before 1000 times (It takes from Flashdance, West Side Story and 20 other films) and you know the plot points well before they happen, [but] it's really well made and written, great cinematography and well acted.

Also I can't remember the last time I've seen so many dark skinned women in a movie and not one Alicia Keys type or mixed one in the bunch. Then again the director is not black but an Indian based in London, Ian Iqbal Rashid.'

Nichelle Nichols is 75. Wonder how she feels about Zoe Saldana playing her role in the upcoming "Star Trek" movie?

Since we're on the subject of Nichelle, here is a clip where she played a hardcore pimpette in the Isaac Hayes Blackexploitation classic "Truck Turner". I'm thinking maybe it's a good thing that this may be the only movie she ever made other than Star Trek....some people should just never attempt to utter a cuss word. Also, just missing the "WTF Volumes".....there was some huge poll done in the UK the BFI (British Film Institute) did on the top 100 Black Film Icons. First of all, there are 100? Are they including cartoon voices?

In the Black Male category, the top three are Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, and Sidney Poitier. Okay, check, everything seems to be in good order there.

But in the Black Female category, the top 3 are as follows:

Dorothy Dandridge

Hattie McDaniels

I mean, WTF? Of course I have no problem with Ms. Dandridge, but Nichelle? Ummmm, she's a TV actress---hello? And I won't even begin to comment on that Hattie McDaniels bulls--t. Don't even get me started. To be fair, tho, they misspelled Nichelle's name in the poll, so what do they really know?
