In 2002, “Ice Age” which made by new CGI animation studio called Blue Sky became a surprise box office hit for their distributor, 20th Century Fox. Given an acceptable budget of $60 million, the movie was expected to be a quiet but solid performer for the studio, however the animated flick debuted to a jaw-dropping $46.3 million on its way to $176.4 million domestically, and also hailed universally positive reception from movie critics.
