After a ‘not-too-success’ “Pineapple Express” last summer, Judd Apatow is back again with his produced comedy this summer. Along with director Harold Ramis, they’re attempted to dig some jokes from Biblical story and setting in “Year One.” The basic concept is somewhat the same with previous Jim Carrey’s “Bruce Almighty” and its sequel “Evan Almighty,” it’s a comedic conflation of the Old Testament which now starring Jack Black (Kungfu Panda, Tropic Thunder) and Michael Cera (Nick and Norah, Juno) as a pair of cavemen wandering through history when the world was just recently created. The film also features Paul Rudd and David Cross, who play Biblical characters like Cain and Abel, Hank Azaria as Abraham,
