From AOL:
After doing so many films and making a lot of money, Samuel L. Jackson has finally set up a production company called Uppity Film, and New Line has filmed 'Man That Rocks the Cradle' to be the first star vehicle for him.
According to Variety, the film was bought as a spec script by Josh Cagan and based on a story by Cagan and Rob McKittrick, 'Man That Rocks the Cradle' revolves around an overworked husband and father of four who decides the solution to all his problems is a live-in nanny. Jackson will play the nanny, Marion Delacroix, a reputed "kid whisperer" from the South.
From IW: I guess that means we'll now have 100 mediocre films per year from Sam instead of the usual 50.....I kid, I kid! I'm just glad more of us are getting our own production companies, but really--is a film like this what it takes to be greenlit? Jeesh.
On a side note, "This Christmas" held down second place in the box office for the second week...kudos!
