LAMB #994 - Silver Emulsion Film Reviews

URL: http://www.silveremulsion.com/
Site Name: Silver Emulsion Film Reviews
Categories: Reviews, General, Horror, Classic Film, (Other) B-Movies
Rating: R

What is the main focus of your site?
I focus on reviewing all kinds of movies, from old to new, from mainstream to forgotten B-movies. I have an intense love for both well-made cinema and low-budget trash. All films are given equal footing, from Citizen Kane to The Toxic Avenger.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I started the blog as a personal hobby. Film reviews are something I've thought about doing for the better part of a decade and one day I realized that a blog would be a great way to actually do it. I would love to roll this into some sort of a job too!

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I enjoy going back and forth with people over movies and love when a good comment thread gets going. There's definitely elements of the teacher/student thing going on in some posts where background knowledge is needed, but I try not to go the film snob route.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
The site went live on April 12, 2010. I usually post three reviews a week, but sometimes life gets busy and I go down to two.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Three is hard... I'll go with my stand-by classics:
Vertigo
Once Upon a Time in the West
2001: A Space Odyssey

How did you hear about the LAMB?
I heard about LAMB through a number of different blogs, I don't specifically remember which one was first. It was either Cut the Crap Movie Reviews, A Life in Equinox or Anomalous Material, but I think it was CTCMR.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
