Adapted from popular novel by Andrea Hirata.Synopsis:
The story begins in Gantong village, Belitong Island. Two teachers of Muhammadiyah Primary School worry about student quota. They must at least have ten students to keep the school continue their activity. Ms. Muslimah (Cut Mini) and Mr. Harfan (Ikranagara) very worried because only nine students were registered. But then Harun came to register as tenth student so this school was save from close down.
Ms. Muslimah called her ten students as “Laskar Pelangi “(rainbow warrior). For five years they study together. Many experiences they have achieved and their friendships grow stronger.
