The U.S. Postal Service took their heads outta their ass** for a minute and finally did something useful. There will be a collection of stamps coming out celebrating Black Cinema, and they're beautiful.
Stamps include Josephine Baker's "Princess Tam Tam", and other very early Black Cinema like "The Sport of The Gods" written by classic black author Paul Laurence Dunbar, and Louis Jordan in "Caldonia". I could not reproduce the images here, there was some sort of block, but they'll be out soon.
On a side note, for Black History this month and every day of the year, check out "On This Date In Black History-Black African American History Facts" on my blogroll.
