What is the main focus of your site?
The main focus of In The Kan is to provide reviews for the latest films, DVDs, and classic movies. In The Kan is based in South Africa and therefore will put emphasis reviewing local film releases while promoting the independent film industry with festival coverage and interviews.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
My blog is a personal space to publish unedited reviews that may have otherwise been changed when finalised for newspapers and other publications that that use my reviews on a freelance basis. As said before, promoting the independent film industry will also be a big focus on my blog.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Definitely interactive, I haven't had many comments but I try to involve myself in discourse wherever I can.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
In The Kan has been active for 3 months. I publish articles between two and three times a week but I now attend press screenings for other distributors which will undoubtedly increase my activity.
